Important Developments for the Remanufacturing Industry in Poland & the EU

APRA Director Tomasz Kowalski, CEO of Premier Components Polska and Business Development Director of Premier Components UK, together with Tomasz Bęben, CEO of SDCM, represented the voice of the Polish core parts industry in high-level meetings with the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Environment.

Together, as @SDCM and APRA Europe, we are actively addressing a long-standing issue: The classification of core parts as waste, which creates serious legal and logistical barriers for the remanufacturing and circular economy sectors in Poland and across the EU.

We are working toward a more accurate legal interpretation that enables free, responsible, and sustainable trade of cores.

The discussions with government representatives were in-depth and constructive, and we’re encouraged by their understanding of the industry's value and potential.

With the EU Parliament currently reviewing related legislation, the timing couldn’t be more critical. We are confident that the core industry's voice is being heard — both in Warsaw and Brussels.

This collaboration between SDCM and APRA marks just the beginning of a long-term partnership aimed at supporting remanufacturers across Poland and the EU.

We're proud to be part of this journey and ready to do even more.
